ANNUAL OPEN BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP 2025/26
Sungai Akar Camp, on Thursday, 14 August 2025. The Annual Open Badminton Championship 2025/26 was successfully conducted in Kadir Hall, Sungai Akar Camp. This year’s championship commenced on 17 July 2025 and featured in two categories: Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles (Division A and Division B) with a total of 79 participants took part in the competition.
GURKHA SECURITY UNIT DELEGATION VISIT TO ARMY CANINE CENTRE, PAKISTAN
Army Canine Centre (ACC) in Rawalpindi, Pakistan from 28 July 2025 to 01 August 2025.
A delegation from the Gurkha Security Unit conducted an official visit to the Army Canine Centre (ACC) in Rawalpindi, Pakistan from 28 July 2025 to 01 August 2025. The delegation aimed to conduct a comprehensive study on the types of courses offered at the ACC, assess compatibility with the GSU K-9 Unit’s operational requirements, and explore the feasibility of future joint training and exercise engagements. The visit also served as a platform to facilitate a mutual exchange of knowledge and best practices across all key areas of K-9 operations. This included canine selection and breeding, training techniques, operational deployments, handler-dog integration, kennel management, and veterinary care. On the final day of the visit, GSU Delegation was also graciously invited by His Excellency Colonel (Retd) Pengiran Haji Kamal Bashah Bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, The High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
MAJLIS PENYAMPAIAN SIJIL BENGKEL TA’LIMUL QUR’AN
SUNGAI AKAR, Jumaat 18 Julai 2025 – Pasukan Sekuriti Gurkha telah mengadakan Majlis Penyampaian Sijil Bengkel Ta’limul Qur’an, bertempat di Surau Perkhemahan Sungai Akar. Lt Kol (U) Haji Habil bin Haji Adol, Komandan Pasukan Sekuriti Gurkha turut hadir dan menyampaikan sijil kepada para peserta bengkel. Seramai 08 anggota PSG telah menghadiri bengkel ini yang berlangsung selama 04 hari bermula dari 07 Julai 2025 hingga 10 Julai 2025.
INTER UNIT VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FY 2025/26
Sungai Akar Camp, on Wednesday, 16 July 2025. The Inter Unit Volleyball Championship was held in Kadir hall, Sungai Akar camp. A total of 4 teams were competed in a knock out system. Guard Unit team B became the winner defeating K-9 Unit in the final. The championship was conducted by OIC Volleyball, Lt Maniram Rai and assistant WO2 Phurtiman Gurung.
MAJLIS DOA KESYUKURAN SEMPENA SAMBUTAN HARI KEPUTERAAN KDYMM KE-79 TAHUN
Sungai Akar, Isnin 14 Julai 2025 – Pasukan Sekuriti Gurkha telah mengadakan Majlis Doa Kesyukuran Bersempena Sambutan Hari Keputeraan KDYMM yang ke-79 Tahun 1447/2025, bertempat di Surau Perkhemahan Sungai Akar.

Bolkiah Garison, Jumaat, 11 Julai 2025 – Kementerian Pertahanan telah mengadakan Majlis Sambutan Ilal Hijrah 1447. Pasukan Sekuriti Gurkha juga ikut serta pada majlis tersebut yang diadakan di Surau Ad-Difa, Bolkiah Garison.
