Penanjong Garrison, Wednesday, 20 August 2025 – On the request of Jungle Welfare Training Branch and the Royal Brunei Land Force Infantry School, the K-9 Unit team from the Gurkha Security Unit conducted a presentation and dog demonstration to the Combat Tracker Course Students at Penanjong Garrison. The session showcased the functions, capabilities, and primary roles of the K-9 Unit, with live demonstrations in arms and explosive detection, tracking, and biting skills.
All the course participants, including two personnel from the Malaysian Army expressed their appreciation for the presentation and demonstrations. The students also displayed strong enthusiasm and active participation during the interaction session. The Commandant, Gurkha Security Unit, together with the K-9 Unit team, were commended and appreciated for facilitating this unique training opportunity.
