Sungai Akar Camp, Monday, 17 August 2026. The Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) welcomed the Yang Mulia Acting Director of the Directorate of Finance and Acquisition (DFA), together with her team, on 17 August 2026. The visit commenced with a meeting and discussion, during which GSU presented an overview of its roles, responsibilities and operational commitments, while gaining a better understanding of DFA’s practices and procedures to improve the efficiency and timeliness of future procurement.
The team subsequently visited the QM’s Store, K-9 Unit, K-9 Breeding Centre and Gurkha Gallery, providing valuable insight into GSU’s operational capabilities and requirements. The visit was an excellent opportunity for both GSU and DFA to strengthen mutual understanding and coordination, supporting smoother, more timely and result-oriented procurement processes in the future.
