Sungai Akar Camp, Tuesday, 27 May 2025 – The Gurkha Security Unit’s (GSU) Operations Officer, Maj Subar Rai conducted a detailed briefing to Yang Mulia the Director of Defence Minister’s Office and Directorate of Strategic Planning (DMO & DSP), Acting Deputy Director DMO & DSP, and Head of Project Branch and Assistance Director outlining an initiative to modernize kits and equipment to align with modern operational demands. The second phase of the briefing included visual brief of the outdated current kits and equipment of GSU intended for the upgrade.
The engagement of the Yang Mulia Dir DMO & DSP provided an opportunity for the GSU to validate requirements and channel them to Permanent Secretary’s Office for further directives.
