K-9 Unit Dog Selection Team to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, 04-11 October 2025 – The K-9 Unit Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) dog selection team, comprising Captain Kamal Prasad Rana, Second-in-Command K-9 Unit, and Dr (Maj) Rana Samir Ahmed, Veterinary Officer, proceeded to the Netherlands from Sat 04 – 11 October 2025 for the selection of operational dog to meet the GSU’s requirements.
The main objective was to select dogs suitable for K-9 operational roles by assessing their physical abilities, general behaviors, agility, hunt and prey drive, as well as medical health and vaccination records.
