Sungai Akar Camp, on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. The Inter Unit Commandant’s Challenge Trophy remains a key calendar event for the Gurkha Security Unit (GSU), conducted throughout the Training Year 2025/26. The competition encompasses a diverse range of sporting and military events, both indoor and outdoor, designed to test physical endurance, teamwork, and professional competence across all participating units.
The primary aim of the Challenge Trophy is to strengthen cohesion within GSU by promoting healthy competition, encouraging active lifestyles, and enhancing core security skills. Over the course of this training year, all teams displayed strong commitment and sportsmanship, with Guard Unit Team B emerging as overall champions after consistently outperforming the other teams. Support Unit secured second place and Guard Unit Team A and K-9 unit were placed 3rd and 4th. YM Comdt also presented CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION to three members of GSU who displayed courage, Initiative and professionalism during a fire incident at Registration and Immigration Office on 05 February 2026.
