Sungai Akar Camp, Thursday, 25 June 2026. The Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) held its Allegiance Parade on 25 June 2026 to mark the successful completion of the five-week induction training for Security Guard Intake 1/2026. The parade was officiated by the Director DMO and DSP as the Guest of Honour. A total of 60 inductees successfully completed the training programme and are now ready to commence their duties across the various units of the GSU.
In his address, the Guest of Honour congratulated the inductees on their achievement and encouraged them to continue learning and developing throughout their careers, emphasising that graduation from induction training marks only the beginning of their professional journey. He then presented the prizes for the winners in various categories including the overall champion of the course 5641 SG Mahendra Thapa. Following the parade, the Guest of Honour met each inductee during a refreshment session, personally congratulating them on their successful completion of the course and wishing them every success in their future service.
After the departure of the Guest of Honour, the Commandant officially welcomed the new service personnel into the GSU family. He congratulated the inductees on reaching this important milestone and presented certificates to each of them in recognition of their successful completion of the induction training. In his closing remarks, the Commandant expressed his appreciation to the instructors, organising committee and all personnel whose dedication and hard work ensured the successful delivery of the training programme and the parade ceremony.
