Sungai Akar Camp, Thursday 25 June 2026. The long-awaited Security Guard Intake 01/2026 was conducted in two phases, with the induction training held from 1 to 22 May 2026, followed by the Security Guard Course from 25 May to 25 June 2026. The course was designed to equip former Gurkha servicemen with the fundamental knowledge, skills and discipline required to undertake the wide range of security duties performed by the Gurkha Security Unit (GSU), ensuring they are operationally ready to support the unit’s mission.
The training programme culminated in the Allegiance Parade held on 25 June 2026, marking the successful completion of the course. The ceremony celebrated the recruits’ achievement and formally welcomed them into the Gurkha Security Unit, where they will contribute to safeguarding key national assets and fulfilling the unit’s operational responsibilities.
