Sungai Akar Camp, Tuesday, 16 June 2026. The Officers’ Mess hosted the annual Solidarity Sports Day in honour of the WOs & Sgts’ Mess, aimed at fostering friendship and strengthening the longstanding bond between the two messes. The event commenced with a safety brief, followed by sporting activities where participants were divided into groups for gentlemen’s and ladies’ walk activities, alongside inter mess basketball match for the gentlemen.
The day concluded with members and families of the WOs & Sgts’ Mess being welcomed at the Officers’ Mess for a dinner. The occasion served as an opportunity to express appreciation for the dedication and invaluable contributions of the WOs and Sgts to the Gurkha Security Unit, while also allowing members from both messes to share experiences, create fond memories, and enjoy a relaxed and friendly environment together.
