GURKHA SECURITY UNIT – K-9 DOG SELECTION 2025
K-9 Unit Dog Selection Team to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, 04-11 October 2025 – The K-9 Unit Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) dog selection team, comprising Captain Kamal Prasad Rana, Second-in-Command K-9 Unit, and Dr (Maj) Rana Samir Ahmed, Veterinary Officer, proceeded to the Netherlands from Sat 04 – 11 October 2025 for the selection of operational dog to meet the GSU’s requirements.
GURKHA SECURITY UNIT, LADIES’ BASIC COMPUTER COURSE
Sungai Akar Camp, Friday, 17 October 2025 – The Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) Ladies’ Basic Computer Course was conducted from 06 to 17 October 2025 at the GSU Training Wing. The participants were instructed by Dyg Normasrina binti Hj Sahri and Training Wing instructors.
GURKHA SECURITY UNIT (GSU) COMMUNITY ENGAGMENT PROGRAMME – HEALTH SCREENING AND WELLNESS TALK
Sungai Akar Camp, Friday, 17 October 2025 – GSU conducted a Community Engagement Programme in collaboration with Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and JPMC College of Health and Science (JCHS). The event featured a Wellness Talk on Work-Life Balance and Protecting Mental Wellbeing and brief introduction of JCHS, attended by eighty (80) personnel including wives.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS ASAS TAHARAH
SUNGAI AKAR, Juma’at, 26 September 2025 – Kursus Asas Taharah telah diadakan bermula pada 22 September 2025 hingga 26 September 2025 bertempat di Surau Perkhemahan Sungai Akar. Seramai 07 orang anggota telah menghadiri kursus tersebut terdiri dari 04 orang anggota PSG dan 03 orang anggota dari Rejimen Pengawal Diraja, TDDB dikendalikan oleh Jabatanarah Agama ABDB. Tujuan kursus ini adalah untuk memberi pengetahuan tentang kepentingan Taharah (Suci dan bersih) kerana ianya merupakan syarat sah untuk melaksanakan ibadah, terutamanya Solat dan bagi mendapat keredhaan Allah dengan bersuci, seseorang Muslim bersedia untuk melakukan ibadah.
RE-INTRODUCTION OF IDENTITY CARD MEETING FOR THE GURKHA SECURITY UNIT PERSONNEL
Sungai Akar camp, Tuesday, 07 October 2025 – A meeting was convened at HQ GSU Conference Room between the representatives from Bolkiah Security Branch, HQ Gurkha Security Unit (GSU), and all staff officers to discuss the reintroduction of the Identity Card (IC) for all GSU personnel.
DASHAIN CELEBRATION 2025 IN GURKHA SECURITY UNIT
Sungai Akar Camp, Tuesday, 30 September 2025 – Dashain, the greatest and most suspicious festival in Nepal, was celebrated with great enthsiam at the GSU, Sungai Akar Camp.
