THE K-9 UNIT, GURKHA SECURITY UNIT, DOG BREEDING PROJECT 2025
The K-9 Unit, Breeding Project, Sungai Akar Camp 2025. The Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) has recorded another significant milestone in its ongoing K-9 dog-breeding initiative at Sungai Akar Camp. On 22 October 2025, a female K-9, successfully delivered two healthy puppies. The puppies are developing well under the close supervision of the K-9 handlers and veterinary support team.
GURKHA SECURITY UNIT INTER-UNIT SWIMMING COMPETITION 2025/26
Sungai Akar Camp, Thursday, 13 November 2025 – The Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) conducted its annual Inter-Unit Swimming Competition on Thursday, 13 November 2025, at the Sungai Akar Camp swimming facility. Four teams participated in the competition, taking part in a series of individual and relay swimming events.
MAJLIS PENUTUP BENGKEL PENYEMPURNAAN JENAZAH
SUNGAI AKAR, Jumaat, 07 November 2025 – Pasukan Sekuriti Gurkha telah mengadakan Majlis Penutup Bengkel Penyempurnaan Jenazah bertempat di Surau Perkhemahan Sungai Akar. Bengkel ini telah dihadiri oleh 08 ahli anggota PSG dan tenaga pengajar adalah daripada Ustaz terlatih Jabatanarah AGAMA Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, Kementerian Pertahanan. Yang Mulia Komandan juga turut menyerahkan sijil kepada peserta bengkel pada hari tersebut.
MAJLIS PENUTUP BENGKEL TAHSIN AS-SOLAH SERTA SOLAT JAMA’ DAN QASHAR
SUNGAI AKAR, Jumaat, 17 Oktober 2025 – Bengkel Tahsin As-solah serta Solat Jama’ dan Qashar telah diadakan bermula 13 Oktober 2025 hingga 16 Oktober 2025 bertempat di Surau Perkhemahan Sungai Akar. Seramai 10 anggota menyertai bengkel ini iaitu 05 anggota PSG dan 05 anggota Tentera daripada Rejimen Pengawal Diraja, TDDB yang dikendalikan oleh Yang Mulia Ustaz Muhammad Abdussalam bin Haji Jahari.
GURKHA SECURITY UNIT DASHAIN OPEN HOUSE 2025
Sungai Akar Camp, Wednesday, 15 October 2025. The Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) Dashain Open House 2025 was held at the main dining hall, Sungai Akar Camp. The event was attended by VIPs and Guests from MINDEF and Royal Gurkha Rifles, former Commandants with their families, and the current Commandant GSU, Veterinary Officer, all other Local Other Ranks who are serving in GSU, including civilians’ clerks and LECs.
OFFICIAL WORKING VISIT TO GURKHA SECURITY UNIT BY THE ROYAL BRUNEI POLICE FORCE, LOGISTICAL DEPARTMENT
Sungai Akar Camp, Monday, 3 November 2025 – A total of 25 personnel comprising senior officers and other ranks from the Royal Brunie Police Force (RBPF), led by ACP Zaila binti Haji Zaini, Acting Director of the Logistic Department, conducted working visit to the Transport Department of the Gurkha Security Unit (GSU). The visit commenced with a comprehensive briefing held in a central classroom, followed by several demonstration sessions and exhibition stands showcasing the operations and procedures of the GSU Transport Department.
