FAREWELL DINER NIGHT HELD AT GSU OFFICERS’ MESS
Sungai Akar Camp, Friday, 12 December 2025. The Farewell Dinner Night was held in honour of Major Ratna Bahadur Pun and his wife, Mrs Asha Pun, at the Officers’ Mess, GSU, with all mess members and their families in attendance.
VIRTUAL INTERVIEW BOARD FOR NEW VETERINARY OFFICER AND SENIOR MEDICAL OFFICER FOR GURKHA SECURITY UNIT
Bolkiah Garrison, Wednesday, 10 December 2025 – The Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) successfully facilitated two virtual interview sessions to assess the new Veterinary Officer candidate from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Army and the new Senior Medical Officer candidate from the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. The interviews were held at Bilik Taklimat, 1st Floor, Tower Block, MINDEF.
NEPAL EMBASSY PASSPORT MOBILE SERVICE DELEGATION VISITS GURKHA SECURITY UNIT (GSU)
Sungai Akar Camp, Friday 21 – Monday 24 November 2025 – At the invitation of the Gurkha Security Unit (GSU), a Passport Mobile Service delegation from the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Nepal in Malaysia visited Brunei Darussalam from 21 to 24 November 2025. Led by Mr Prateek Raj Joshi, Second Secretary, and supported by Mrs Yasoda Adhikari and Mr Sandeep Pandey, the delegation successfully delivered passport renewals and consular services to the Nepalese community through an efficient doorstep service. A total of 116 passports were processed, benefiting GSU personnel and their families, British Forces Brunei Garrison personnel, and Nepalese nationals working in a private capacity in the country.
GURKHA SECURITY UNIT OFFICERS’ MESS HOLDS GENERAL MESS MEETING
Sungai Akar Camp, Wednesday, 03 December 2025 – The Gurkha Security Unit (GSU), Officers’ Mess convened its 150th General Mess Meeting, with 28 mess members in attendance, including the Mess Chairman (Commandant).
THE BRUNEI HALF MARATHON RUN 2025
Bandar Seri Begawan, 30 November 2025. A total of 21 personnel from the Gurkha Security Unit, including Officers, Other Ranks and their families took part in The Brunei Half Marathon Run 2025. Participants competed in the 5 km, 10 km and 21 km categories.
PERMANENT SECRETARY OF MINISTRY OF DEFENCE CONDUCTS WORKING VISIT TO GURKHA SECURITY UNIT OUT-GUARD LOCATIONS
Friday, 21 November 2025 – The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, conducted an official working visit to the Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) out-guard locations, accompanied by the Commandant GSU. The visit formed part of a scheduled administrative programme aimed at updating Yang Mulia Dato on the unit’s operational posture, addressing ongoing challenges, and strengthening coordination and collaboration with key stakeholders.
