GURKHA SECURITY UNIT SEARCH TEAM FINDS MISSING PERSONS
Sungai Akar Camp, Sunday 04 May 2025 – GSU Search Team comprised of K-9 Tracker Team with 2x Search Dogs and Spearhead Section deployed from Sungai Akar Camp (SAC) to the ICP location in Kampong Supon, Tutong District. The GSU team with, RBPF, RBAF Drone team and some relatives of missing persons deployed to the concerned area. After 3 hours of extensive search operation, the team managed to locate the missing persons who were lost in the jungle for almost 6 days. The team provided them snacks and first aid treatments. On the way back, the team carried one missing person who was suffering from blistered feet and cramped muscle. Overall, this was a very successful operation and the villagers were overwhelmed with joy and expressed their gratitude to the Search Team.
FIVE NEW OFFICERS JOINS GURKHA SECURITY UNIT
Sungai Akar Camp, Tuesday, 13 May 2025 – Three (3) retired officers from the British Army, Brigade of Gurkhas and Two (2) retired officers from Gurkha Contingent Singapore Police Force (GCSPF) arrived in Negara Brunei Darussalam on Monday 21 April 2025 for their selection interview.
INTER UNIT FOOTBALL COMPETITION 2025/26
Sungai Akar Camp, Thursday 08 May 2025. The Gurkha Security Unit Inter-Unit Football Competition 2025/26 for the Commandant’s Challenge Trophy reached a thrilling conclusion on 08 May 2025, as four spirited teams Guard Unit Team A and B, Support Unit and K-9 Unit battled for glory. After a series of intense and competitive matches, Guard Unit Team A and Team B clashed in a high-energy final that ended with 3-3 in regular time. In a dramatic twist during extra time, Team B clinched a narrow 4 – 3 victory.
KEMPEN KEBERSIHAN MASJID
Kg Junjongan, Rabu, 23 April 2025 – Pasukan Sekuriti Gurkha telah mengadakan Kempen Kebersihan di Masjid As-Salaam, Kampung Junjongan. Seramai 25 orang anggota PSG telah menyertai kempen kebersihan tersebut bersama Ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Takmir Masjid berkenaan. Kempen kebersihan tersebut diketuai oleh 0160 PW2 Asyraffie Alam bin Tuah dan 0111 PW2 Noradime bin Haji Alim. Kempen tersebut adalah sebahagian daripada Program Ihya Ramadhan iaitu Kempen Kebersihan Masjid Seluruh Negara bagi Tahun 1446H/2025M anjuran Kementerian Pertahanan.
MAJLIS MALAM TAKBIR HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI 1446H/2025M, ANJURAN PASUKAN SEKURITI GURKHA
Sungai Akar, Ahad 30 MAC 2025 – Pasukan Sekuriti Gurkha telah mengadakan Majlis Malam Takbir Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1446 Hijrah / 2025 Masihi, bertempat di Surau Perkhemahan Sungai Akar. Majlis di mulakan dengan menunaikan Sembahyang Fardhu Isyak Berjemaah yang di imamkan oleh 50762 Kpl Abdul Baar bin Haji Sijun. Setelah itu majlis di gemakan dengan Takbir Hari Raya bagi sama-sama meraikan kedatangan bulan Syawal.
MAJLIS KHATAM AL-QURAN DAN PENYAMPAIAN DERMA ANAK YATIM BAGI PERINGKAT PASUKAN SEKURITI GURKHA
Sungai Akar, Jumaat, 28 Mac 2025 – Pasukan Sekuriti Gurkha telah mengadakan Majlis Khatam Al-Quran dan Penyampaian Derma Anak-Anak Yatim sempena bulan Ramadhan 1446 hijrah / 2025 Masihi, bertempat di Surau Perkhemahan Sungai Akar.
