Sungai Akar Camp, Wednesday, 15 October 2025. The Gurkha Security Unit (GSU) Dashain Open House 2025 was held at the main dining hall, Sungai Akar Camp. The event was attended by VIPs and Guests from MINDEF and Royal Gurkha Rifles, former Commandants with their families, and the current Commandant GSU, Veterinary Officer, all other Local Other Ranks who are serving in GSU, including civilians’ clerks and LECs.
The programme commenced with a welcome and thank you speech by the Deputy Commandant GSU, followed by a luncheon. The event featured vibrant and enthusiastic Nepalese and Malay cultural performances presented by GSU members and children.
The event concluded at approximately 1330 hrs, making a successful and enjoyable gathering that strengthened camaraderie among all members and guests of the Gurkha Security Unit.
