A delegation from the Gurkha Security Unit conducted an official visit to the Army Canine Centre (ACC) in Rawalpindi, Pakistan from 28 July 2025 to 01 August 2025. The delegation aimed to conduct a comprehensive study on the types of courses offered at the ACC, assess compatibility with the GSU K-9 Unit’s operational requirements, and explore the feasibility of future joint training and exercise engagements. The visit also served as a platform to facilitate a mutual exchange of knowledge and best practices across all key areas of K-9 operations. This included canine selection and breeding, training techniques, operational deployments, handler-dog integration, kennel management, and veterinary care. On the final day of the visit, GSU Delegation was also graciously invited by His Excellency Colonel (Retd) Pengiran Haji Kamal Bashah Bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, The High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
