Penanjong Garrison, Monday, 13 April 2026. GSU K9 Unit conducted a presentation and demonstration for participants of the Combat Survival Course Session 2026 at the Jungle Warfare Training Branch, RBLF Infantry School, Penanjong Garrison. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the K9 Unit, highlighting the roles, operational capabilities, and limitations of military working dogs in support of security and field operations. It aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of how K9 assets can be effectively integrated into wider operational output.
This was followed by a practical demonstration, where K9 teams showcased their operational skills and real-time application in controlled scenarios. The demonstration offered valuable insight into the coordination, discipline, and effectiveness of handler-dog teams in mission-oriented tasks. A total of seven personnel and three K9 dogs were involved in supporting the event, contributing to a successful and informative session for all participants.
